Trump has snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. He has four years, so what should he prioritise? The wall stupid!
The odds have been against him of late. Despite facing two assassination attempts and federal court cases, Trump beat Kamala Harris to again become America’s President.
The wall became the anti-climax of his first term. But lefts wet dream of Trump’s alleged racist tendencies, have all but fallen to pieces. With the ever-present border crisis, Americans are waking up to the national security crisis at the southern border.
More than ever, the U.S. is in need of a wall, and Trump needs to hire the right people this time.
The house committee on oversight and accountability and the house committee on Homeland Security reported:
“Under President Biden’s watch, there have been over 8 million migrant encounters nationwide, 6.7 million of which have been at the South-west border. Worse yet, over 1.7 million known gotaways—illegal immigrants who have evaded Border Patrol—are now living in the interior of the United States without documentation and without having undergone any vetting by immigration officials.”
The situation is ironic and tragic.
It is ironic because when Trump first announced his plans for a wall, the mainstream media demonised him as racist lunatic. Now, after 4 years of a senile commander in chief under Joe Biden, millions have flooded into the U.S. illegally at the southern border.
Trump must respond to this national security crisis, and this time, he has no excuses.
While the Trump administration claimed that he built almost 500 miles of the wall between Mexico and the U.S., this time he has to finish the job.
This is his second term, and his shoot from the hip public persona has found resonance in the minds of the American people. But with only 4 years now, he must finish what he started.
In my estimation, his legacy will be defined by whether he comes good on the outlandish yet necessary campaign promises he made.
At the top of the list is the wall.
