The first pro LGBT Pope

Catholics are enraged by the actions of Pope Francis as he continues to embrace everything about the LGBT movement. The Pope recently hosted a dinner where transgender people were invited to attend the Catholic Church’s World Day of the Poor and increasingly, the difference between the church and society fades. This Pope’s crowning achievement may be going down as the first LGBT Pope in Catholic history, it’s a feat Catholics should not endorse.

You would expect that the institution of ‘Christ’ would commit itself to the truth, not to anti-truth. Earlier in 2023, the Pope spoke to a trans person who allegedly struggled between their ‘Catholic faith’ and ‘trans identity’. He told the person:

“God loves us, as we are”

The Pope insists that Christ himself would embrace this. Once upon a time, the Church defined the moral values of the West. Now the secular West defines the moral values of the Church.

You would think that the Church would act as the last bastion of the faith. But the Pope has other ideas. When once asked about the reality of “gay priests,” the Pope responded, “Who am I to judge?” Official Catholic doctrine states that Catholic priests are not allowed to get married, but according to Pope Francis, gay priests are fine.

That sums up his legacy. He will be known in future generations as the Pontiff who dared not to judge anything meaningful at all, ever.

The Pope is perhaps a symbol of Christianity today. This is why Nietczhe proclaimed, “In reality, there was only one Christian, and he died on a cross.”

The Pope is not compassionate, he’s cowardly.

This is not a new or controversial observation, either. Nietzsche observed this in European Christianity. He called it “slave morality.” Christians then focused on values  like ‘kindness, compassion, and humility’ not because they were virtuous Christian ideals. They pursued these values because they were too cowardly to be the kind of truth-speaking, courageous, and bold individuals they should have been. The Pope has succumbed to slave morality.

The pressures of openly reasserting its traditional values and resisting the sirens of extremist ideology are all too much for Pope Francis, and the reason why he is hesitant to judge is because it masks his inability to position the church as a diametric force that opposes the LGBT ideology. The Church is afraid to speak out against things, so they hide behind the veil of compassion and quietly assimilate into secular culture.

Catholics should be protesting outside the Vatican, demanding the Pope’s resignation. He is not a leader of the Catholic Church but a misguided puppet of the puppet masters.

Imagine how millions of Catholics felt when seeing footage of this dinner with the Popes transgender guests. Many Catholics are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with his papacy, and they should start speaking out against the Pope. Many bishops will secretly be feeling the same; they should take their concerns to the Vatican too.

Already the Catholic Church has been involved in scandal after scandal. From corruption to rampant pedophilia and coverups. Further reputational damage may leave the church beyond repair.

Catholics should be demanding answers from the church as to why it has become pro-LGBT. Perhaps the Pope and his hyper-compassionate slave morality is only a reflection of the broader world in which we live. But perhaps it is also time for the Catholic Church to begin to imitate Christ the judge, Christ the speaker of truth,  the same Christ who boldly stood before Roman power and proclaimed himself King.
